When I was younger, I didn’t really have any social media tips. I just saw it as a way to get a little attention for something or to make friends. These days, however, I’m not so sure.
There are many things that I learned after spending several years using social media, and they all have something to do with people. Here are some of the most important things I’ve learned about using social media.
The first thing you need to know is that the main thing about social media is its usefulness for people. The amount of “how can this help me” in the articles on social media platforms is very interesting. For example, if you post an article about how to get a raise, people will share your article and write about how helpful they found it. Then, other people will find the same post and use it to ask the question of their own, helping them further.
Who cares if a person spends time in this medium? Anyone who looks at the social media platforms will find these kinds of posts. If we start judging this by the standards of people looking for answers, we miss the fact that millions of people are posting things just like this.
To be clear, I am not saying that the ability to get people to share information with others isn’t valuable. It is. However, it’s also true that social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube are so incredibly useful that it’s surprising people don’t spend more time there. It’s so easy to get so much out of these sites that they are now used daily, not just as a marketing tool.
In addition, most people on these platforms have a very real reason for using them. People are sharing their own stories because they want to talk about them. They’sharing articles they like so they can read them.
Social media tips really work this way. Everyone wants to look good. Whether you’re someone who’s trying to sell something or just interested in looking your best, the people that are doing it are very aware of the importance of this.
In order to sell something, you usually have to go to all of the trouble of convincing people that what you’re selling is actually worth their time. You don’t need a good sales pitch. That’s for someone else.
Instead, people are more inclined to buy from someone who doesn’t need to sell them or a product, but who can give information to them, rather than someone who needs to make a sales letter to sell a product. In other words, instead of throwing articles at people who just want to share experiences, you should be able to put in a lot of thought into what you have to say and get people to want to listen to you. It’s like asking a child to design a birthday party for his/her friend and then going out and buying a paper party invitation.
This is the same thing. You can use social media to sell a product or you can use it to share your personal experiences. It’s your call.
Another part of the social media tips I gave you earlier concerns actually connecting with people on your network. I’ve always felt that you should have to be good at math to run a business and that people with skills and interest in that area have a much better chance of succeeding. That’s not to say you can’t use an online business to make money, but if you’re not good at math, you can probably stay where you are.
That doesn’t mean you can’t try to connect with other people on social media, though. Just make sure you know what you’re doing!
